Job Title: Building Maintenance Technician

Reports To: Building Maintenance Manager
Status: Seasonal/ Hourly
Your responsibilities may include: assisting the department with scheduled preventive maintenance of the buildings, restaurant equipment, plumbing, HVAC, painting/drywall, cabinetry, carpentry, minor electrical, and carpentry shop up keep. Be able to switch to work both interior and exterior as weather dictates.
QUALIFICATIONS Must be 18 years or older. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and understand documents related to safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, MSDS forms and procedure manuals. The employee will need to understand, demonstrate and utilize basic math skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. The ability to understand instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form. Must be self-motivated, have good communication skills, work well with others, be able to give a take direction, have good troubleshooting skills, provide a copy of your driving record to operate company vehicles, and other duties as assigned. You will maintain a professional attitude and clean appearance, while participating as a member of a team. You must be comfortable with the changing dynamics of a seasonal business. Ability to be insured to drive company vehicles.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
