Job Title: Nordic Groomer

Status: Seasonal Hourly
Responsible to mechanically condition Nordic ski tracks into a surface suitable for ski/snowshoe activity. To have track conditions properly prepared before scheduled opening time. Must be comfortable with the dynamics of a seasonal business.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Able to be insured to operate/drive company owned vehicles and machinery.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger/handle or feel, sit, taste or smell, walk, talk or hear, climb or balance, stoop/kneel/crouch or crawl, and reach with hands and arms. This job requires that the employee sometimes will need to be able to lift up to 100 pounds. A distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus is necessary. The employee is exposed to outdoor weather conditions, wet/humid conditions, work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, vibration, work in high/precarious places, and extreme cold. The noise level for this working environment is usually loud.
