    Status:         Seasonal, Hourly


    Job Summary

    Provide support to all functions in the Human Resources department. Deliver employee services, support employee programs, and assist with organizing and coordinating employee and company events. This position is responsible for assisting with employment processes, file management and administration of various other Human Resource functions while helping to keep an ‘open door policy’ with all employees; upholds all confidentiality within the Human Resources department.

     Qualifications & Experience

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Possess solid computer skills including experience in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Exceptional attention to detail
    • Ability to work independently and within a functional team; service and people oriented with the ability to exercise discretion
    • Must be self-motivated; adept at handling multiple projects, tasks and changing priorities
    • Background in office support and/or human resources preferred
    • Experience with point of sale, recruiting software, and public speaking a plus
    • Must be comfortable with the changing dynamics of a seasonal business.

     Functions & Responsibilities

    • Assist with company recruiting; provide support to hiring managers regarding job descriptions, requisitions, applicants, selection process; screen candidates as necessary; gather measures; assist with system maintenance
    • Administer on-boarding; execute and track established workflows, guide employees in the process; work with the department team members to ensure accuracy
    • Oversee the organization, maintenance, and security of employee files
    • Attend to compliance with relevant policies and laws; maintain knowledge of applicable laws, policies, regulations and best practices
    • Fulfill aspects of personnel administration including work and unemployment verifications, performance, and policy issues
    • Provide services including employee/dependent pass transactions, employee privileges, information, and office support to managers
    • Perform cashiering duties following established department and company procedures and reporting
    • Carry out planning and implementation of employee programs and events
    • Assist in the development of new employee programs, functions, privileges, and services
    • Assist with employee communications, emails, and website; provide employees with accurate, timely, and positive information; observe and refine communication practices within the resort
    • Develop rapport with employees and departments through personal interactions, correspondence/phone, and visiting departments/workspaces
    • Be available to employees for information, issues, direction; exercise sound judgment and appropriate discretion in handling employee issues
    • Assist with employee uniform assignments, name tags, and daily department uniform check-outs
    • Operate point of sale system, vending employee products, accepting multiple forms of payment, and daily balance, transaction reports, and audit drops
    • Promote employee services and products offered at the store and within the Human Resources department
    • Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly store duties including stocking, organization, inventory, ordering, and cleaning schedules
    • Assist with employee housing check-ins/outs; process employee housing deposits and ensure required paperwork is complete
    • Assist with administering the Tenant 4 Turns program; maintaining, updating, and designing Tenant 4 Turns brochures, flyers, documentation, and records; process pass and ticket voucher incentives per the program guidelines and requirements
    • Maintain the integrity of the department in all aspects of Human Resources and Human Service ethics
    • Be a proponent of the Stevens Pass values, mission, vision, and service philosophy.
    • Perform additional tasks as requested by the Human Resource Manager, the General Manager, and the Senior Management team

     Physical Demands

    Ability to perform sitting at a work station viewing a computer monitor for extended periods of time. Regularly required to walk, stand, sit and occasionally required to bend, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, balance, reach above shoulder and head. Must use hands and fingers to handle or feel, write, type, manipulate objects; reach with arms and/or hands. Must possess the ability to walk on uneven surfaces, and/or snow and ice covered surfaces, stairs and/or ladders. Must have the ability to tolerate exposure to work in all weather conditions. Possess the ability to lift and/or move 40 lbs and up to 100 lbs with assistance. Must be able hear and to speak clearly to others including public speaking and phone and radio communication. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be loud on occasion.
