    Job Title:                F&B Restaurant Worker  

    Department:           Food and Beverage 

    Reports To:            Summer manager/Exec Chef

    Status:                   Non Exempt, Seasonal Hourly          



    Cook, cashier, wash dishes, receive orders, as a working member of restaurant team.



    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to write routine reports and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
    • Ability to do basic arithmetic.
    • Ability to trouble-shoot, and apply decisions, solving practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
    • Must be comfortable with the changing dynamics of a seasonal business.



    • Ring in items using POS system.
    • Make change, cash checks, and issue receipts or tickets to customers.
    • Record amounts received and prepare reports of transactions.
    • Read and record totals shown on cash register tape and verify against cash on hand.
    • Quote price and describe features of items for which money is received.
    • Provide cash refunds or issue credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise.
    • Operate cash register by passing price coded items across electronic scanner to record. price, compile printed list, and display cost of customer purchase, tax, and rebates on monitor screen.
    • Assist with ensuring items are kept well stocked and general cleanliness by monitoring premises.
    • Ensure that proper cash handling procedures are followed including safe cash counts and reconciliation for other cashiers and drops.
    • Handle customer relations and/or employee problems that may arise, making consistent decisions to resolve conflict.
    • Ensure the production of the best possible product; attractively presented and efficiently served.
    • Assist with inventories, reports and other paperwork as required in a timely manner.
    • Prepare food in quantities according to menu and number of persons to be served.
    • Washes dishes.
    • Greets and serves guests in a courteous manner.
    • Ensure all food is prepared, cooked and presented according to health department regulations and safe food handling practices.
    • Maintain clean, well-organized, and well-maintained facilities in compliance with Stevens Pass and Washington State mandated Standards
    • Other duties as requested by F&B Management Team, members of Director Team or General Manager 


    • Be knowledgeable about the Stevens Pass Ski Area, the products and services available in restaurant and the food being served to guests.
    • Provide excellent guest service in a high volume environment.
    • Show up to work on time and in uniform.
    • Demonstrate a positive attitude toward the workplace, co-workers, and the guests.
    • Communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers effectively regarding personnel and work issues.
    • Work unsupervised in a manner that is professional and consistent with Stevens Pass F&B policies and procedures.
    • Use good judgment when dealing with customer service situations and other situations that are not clearly defined by standard operating procedures.
    • Assist enthusiastically when asked to help out in other areas as needed
    • Must be comfortable with the changing dynamics of a seasonal business.



    Washington state food handlers permit and Class 12 liquor license.



    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to walk.  The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
